What is now AllSearch Recruiting was founded as APEX Professional Staffing, Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland, by Jason Connors, Mike Bender and Brian Connors. No clients, no candidates, no funding, but many hopes and dreams. Too many? Maybe, but read on…

2005

After a few early years of living the start-up life, and grinding, grinding, grinding and eating way too much fast food…the business just took off. Beyond the company headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland… they opened 3 branch offices across the country in Boston, Massachusetts; Denver, Colorado; and York/Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The company made the decision to change its name to AllSearch to better portray who we are and what we do: search for all manner of elite, talented business professionals in the areas of Sales & Management, Technology, Insurance, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, and HR.

AllSearch was very proud to be honored by the Baltimore Business Journal’s during their annual  Best Places to Work awards, landing the #1 spot in the Small Business category, as well as to the prestigious  Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in the United States. It was quite a year.

AllSearch was nominated again, this time voted as the #1 overall “Best Company to Work for in Baltimore” across all business size categories by the Baltimore Business Journal.

AllSearch was ranked as one of the Top 10 Professional Search Firms based in Baltimore by the Baltimore Business Journal.

AllSearch made the decision to centralize their core professional recruiting team and relocate their corporate headquarters to York, Pennsylvania.

2011-2015

AllSearch pivoted from a more widely diversified professional recruiting agency to one that instead focused more specifically within the niche areas of Industrial Sales & Management, supporting clients within Manufacturing, Construction, Industrial Distribution, and the like. During this stretch, the firm surpassed several long term growth goals of placing candidates in 46 states and 6 countries.

AllSearch continued to invest heavily in growth efforts with the goal of being able to more effectively serve an ever-widening base of clients all across the United States. During the first year of that growth effort, the firm doubled in size and outgrew its York, Pennsylvania headquarters. In 2016 the company hit our 14th anniversary and was proud to celebrate the milestones of our 2,500th placement and 500th client served.

AllSearch continued to invest heavily, bolstering the firm’s national Sales Recruiting Team. The firm also launched their internal Business Development Associate Program, designed to hire and develop junior talent into successful recruiting professionals. Additions were also made to the internal recruiting and sourcing support teams, with a focus on maximizing current day technology & sourcing techniques, in order to find the best possible talent for our employer client base.  New team members who joined the firm just a year ago were already seeing promotions into leadership roles, and that trend would continue.

In 2018 AllSearch was honored as one of the region’s Fastest Growing Companies by the Central Penn Business Journal. To continue our quest to become the #1 Professional Search firm in the nation,  AllSearch continued to invest heavily in systems and talented professionals to insure that we could dig deeper and build stronger relationships in order to give our clients access to the winning talent they need to grow their companies.

In 2019, AllSearch relocated their corporate offices to a beautiful building in Downtown York, PA. In order to best serve the growing client base, AllSearch expanded their Sales & Management service line to include several specific sales industry niches including HVAC/Mechanical Services, Building Products and Industrial Distribution. The firm also introduced an Engineering Division that focuses on Mechanical and Electrical Engineering staffing needs.

During this year, AllSearch was once again named as one of the Fastest Growing Companies by the Central Penn Business Journal, in fact, moving up to the #1 spot! #1 Fastest Growing Private Company in York & Adams County - quite an honor. AllSearch was also extremely honored to be named a Business of the Year in the CPBJ’s Game Changers program.

2020 brought the AllSearch team up to a total of two dozen talented & experienced Recruiters, spanning 6 uniquely focused Recruiting Teams, each hyperfocused on either HVAC, Construction, Building Products, Industrial Automation, Sales & Management, Engineering or Insurance.

Pre-Covid: the firm hit 18 year pinnacles in terms of clients and candidates served as well as sales and revenue numbers. In July, AllSearch was named by the Central Penn Business Journal as one of the Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies in Central Pennsylvania, based on audited financials comparing the last 3 years of operation, for the 3rd year in a row.

Covid-Era: The entire company remained working aggressively towards Client and Candidate goals, while shifting to a 100% remote work from home infrastructure to keep everyone safe and healthy.

As Covid got under control, and clients and candidate return to a "new-normal", AllSearch remained intact, having not lost one single employee to Covid related downsizing, and working as hard as ever to build amazing client teams across key business functions such as Sales, Operations, Management, Manufacturing and Distribution. In fact, AllSearch hired 5 expert Recruiters during a time when most competitors were laying off. In August, AllSearch was named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies in the United States. Landing at spot #1,395, putting us within the Top 30 Fastest Growing Recruiting Firms in the United States, the 3rd Fastest Growing Recruiting Firm in Pennsylvania, and the 2nd Fastest Growing Firm of any industry in York County.

2021 at AllSearch, mirrored the explosion in market, business, and economic demand as the world resumes a "new normal" of business activity. As growth continues, each of AllSearch's industry specific recruiting teams continued to add experienced expert Recruiting talent, to insure clients talent staff needs are thoroughly satisfied. The company experienced 20 year record levels of client talent demand spanning each of their recruiting practices.

2022, after two decades of investment and focus, is a time when AllSearch is now becoming the BRAND NAME to companies in need of talented staff. We are now a team of 30+ Industry Specific Recruiters. Working within highly focused industries such as Manufacturing, Construction & Building Products, HVAC & Mechanical Services, Supply Chain & Logistics, Insurance and more. A simple Google Search will display what our hundreds of repeat clients across the country have shown...that we are the top of the list.

Our FOCUS on NOT spamming our clients with just any resume, but instead, actually taking the time to find them just the right candidate who can help them succeed, is what has created this success.

2023 continued to be an exciting time for the growth of AllSearch. Clients and candidates benefited from a larger and more powerful network as our reach continued to widen as our Recruiting team continued to grow, now approaching 40 employees. During the year we were honored with a number of prestigious awards, topping the list was our 3rd naming in 22 years, to the Inc 5000 list of Fastest Growing Company in America, ranking all the way up in the #1 spot around the region local to our company headquarters. Additionally AllSearch was ranked #1 in the United States in the "Search" Category, in the Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) 2023 list of Fastest Growing Staffing Companies"

2024 has been an exciting year so far! AllSearch launched a new practice within our national Manufacturing Recruiting Division, with a powerful team dedicated strictly to the "Recycling & Sustainability" industry, thanks to a new practice manager who brings many years of focused experience in that realm. By mid year the efforts were once again noticed by the marketplace, as we were awarded, for the 6th time, recognition in the Central Penn Business Journals annual audited list of Fastest Growing Companies in 2024 as measured by % of Revenue Growth over the past 3 years.
